I’ve always liked a good movie. By “good” I mean a well-written and well-acted story with some depth to it. A handful (or more) of smart humor is always a plus, too. Through the years, I have accumulated quite a collection of favorites, some of them popular hits, others lesser known gems few people seem to have watched.

There is also a long list of movies I dislike. Usually, what turns me off is a flat story with gaping plot holes, gore for the sake of gore, indecency, unoriginality, stupid or disgusting humor (think farting-in-the-boss’s-face in Click). And then there are movies that are a mixture of good and bad – strictly in my opinion, of course.

Which brings us to the purpose of this blog: just to share my take on movies. You might agree or disagree with it. You might enjoy a movie I’ve given a thumbs-down to or find something I’ve praised to be of no interest. That’s okay. You don’t have to like exactly what I like. And I hope you can still enjoy my blog.
